Cheese Omelet

This is pretty obvious, but you can't ignore a classic!


  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 to 3 ounces sliced or shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby,
  • American, Swiss, Gruyere, Muenster, or whatever you prefer)


Make your omelet according to Dana's Easy Omelet Method (Klik Omelets 101), placing the cheese over half of your omelet when you get to step 6. Cover, turn the burner to low, and cook until the cheese is melted (2 to 3 minutes). Follow the directions to finish making the omelet.

Yield: 1 serving, with 2 grams of carbohydrates, no fiber, and 32 grams of protein.
